Dolores Peckham

Dolores Peckham, 84, Higgins Lake, died Nov. 19, 2007, at Hilltop Manor Health Care Center, Roscommon.

The Rev. Dr. James N. Kent will officiate a service Monday, Nov. 26, at 11 a.m. at Markey Community Baptist Church, Markey Township. Burial will be in Deepdale Memorial Park, Lansing. Walsh Funeral Home, Roscommon, handled arrangements.

Mrs. Peckham was born in St. Louis, MO, July 16, 1923, the daughter of William and Myrtie (Cottenham) Lagios. Before moving to Higgins Lake in 1979, she lived in Lansing. She and Robert F. Peckham were united in marriage Sept. 22, 1945, in Lansing. Her husband preceded her in death Oct. 13, 1994.

Mrs. Peckham was a homemaker, and attended Markey Community Baptist Church. She was past president of the Christian Women’s Club at Markey Church. She was active in her church, and enjoyed sewing and cooking.

Besides her husband, those preceding her in death were her parents.

Surviving Mrs. Peckham are her two children, Richard and his wife Jean Peckham of Lansing, and Bruce Peckham of Holland; two grandchildren, Greg and his wife Debbie Peckham of Lansing, and Kevin Peckham of Lansing; and three great-grandchildren, Zachary, Ryan and Hayden Peckham of Lansing.
