Marie Klos

Marie Klos, 92, Prudenville, died Nov. 17, 2007, at Mid Michigan Gladwin Pines Nursing Home.

No services will be held. At the request of Mrs. Klos, her body was donated to Michigan State University's department of anatomy. Memorial donations may be made to the Wayne State University Medical Department. Christler Funeral Home- Houghton Lake Chapel handled arrangements. Mrs. Klos was born in Ontario, Canada, Oct. 26, 1915, to the late Peter and Sophia (Krawec) Krupe. She received a bachelor of science degree from Wayne State University and worked as a medical technician in the St. Clair Shores area for many years before retiring and moving to the Houghton Lake area in 1988.

Surviving are son, Lawrence Karpin of Wisconsin; three grandchildren, Lawrence Jr., Christopher and Tracy; three greatgrandchildren, Christopher Jr., Tiffany and Casey; several friends, including Rhonda Lamberg and her husband Robert Pacella and their children, Bobby and Riley of Houghton Lake; and life-long friends, Regina and her husband Frank Kolassa of Washington, MI.
