LeRoy Henry Johnson

LeRoy Henry Johnson, 76, Grayling, died Nov. 16, 2007, at his home.

Private family services have been held. Walsh Funeral Home, Roscommon, handled arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to the family.

Mr. Johnson was born Aug. 22, 1931, in Pontiac, the son of Wade Benjamin and Mildred Ella May (Brayman) Johnson. Before moving to Grayling in 1978, he lived in Keego Harbor. He and Shirley A. McClellan were married Aug. 13, 1965, in Pontiac. He worked as a water meter repairman for the city of Pontiac for 25 years, before retiring in 1978.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling and working on lawnmowers.

Preceding him in death were his parents, three children, and three brothers.

Surviving are his wife, Shirley Johnson of Grayling; nine children, including Geraldine Johnson of Grayling, Linda Johnson of Roscommon, and Steven and his wife Kathy Johnson of Waterford; several grandchildren, including Phillip Johnson of Grayling and Shirley, Kelly and Steve Johnson Jr. of Waterford; many great-grandchildren; and sister, Deloris Fleming of Pontiac.
