Sealed Bids for the Michigan Forest Products Institute Building and Student Services Addition will be received by Kirtland Community College at 4800 W. Four Mile Road, Grayling, MI 49738 until 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 6, 2018. Bids will be opened and publicly read aloud at 2:15 p.m. in the Community Room. 2. Faxed Bids or electronic Bids will not be accepted. 3. If a Bidder is mailing their Bid it must be in a separate opaque envelope clearly marked “Bid Enclosed” and must indicate Bid Package (i.e. #8 – Masonry). 4. Each Bid Package is a separate contract with the owner. 6. Every contractor and subcontractor on this project must comply with the State of Michigan – “The prevailing wages on state projects act, public act 166 of 1965” as set forth in the bid documents. 7. Bid Breakout – For accounting purposes, a break out of all costs (materials, labor, tax, equipment, etc.) associated with the Michigan Forest Products Institute Building per the identified portion on the plans is required. Note: These costs must be included in the base bid stipulated sum. Note: For any items that service the entire building project and not specific to the Michigan Forest Products Institute as identified on the plans (shaded portion), use a multiplier of 57% for those items to be included in the bid break out. (i.e. Sitework, paving, landscaping, sidewalks, boilers, main distribution panel, etc.) 8. Bid Security – A certified check, bank draft or bid bond in an amount of 5% of the total bid amount shall be submitted with each bid. 9. Performance and Payment Bond – A 100% Performance and Payment bond will be required for successful bidders for each bid package. 10. There will be a Pre-Bid Meeting for all Bid Divisions at Kirtland Community College, Grayling Campus (4800 W.
