Richfield police, federal agencies probing possible drug conspiracy
Federal drug charges are possible as a result of the latest in a series of search warrants, executed in Richfield Township last week.
Richfield Township Police Chief Brad Bannon said his department is working with area and federal agencies in investigating a possible conspiracy to deliver illegal narcotics. Assets of suspects were seized as a result of the warrants executed last week, he said. Other agencies involved include the Strike Team Investigative Narcotics Group, the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency, and the U.S. Attorneys office, the Roscommon County Sheriffs Department and State Police, Bannon said.
Bannon said about 25 drug-related search warrants have been executed in Richfield Township in the last several months.
