Foundation offers engraved bricks as timely mementoes

"May and June is the time of year to recognize a loved one, friend or co-worker by purchasing an engraved brick at one of the three elementary schools in Roscommon County," says Karen Walper, president of the Friends Helping Friends Foundation.

Brickscapes are located at the entrances of elementary schools at Houghton Lake, Roscommon and St. Helen. Bricks may be engraved in memory or honor of someone, as a graduation remembrance, a wedding gift for former students, a retirement memento or for Mother's Day or Father's Day.

Funds generated from the bricks are used by the Friends Helping Friends Foundation to assist families with ill, injured or disabled children during times of need.
