We may say it's warbler season, but we're not referring to hunting the little migrating birds. It's Kirtland's warbler season and thus it is time for the annual Kirtland's Warbler Festival at the college this rare little bird is named after. This year's festival is the 14th annual event.
It's a wonder how many people have come to know the little yellow bird as a result of the festival. It is also a wonder how many kids and adults have learned about other animals, plants, flowers and outdoors opportunities by attending one of the festivals.
The weather this Saturday calls for comfortable temperatures with a slight possibility of rain. We encourage everyone to check out the planned activities of the festival on page C1 this week and then make the trek to Kirtland Community College for an informative day of activities and events.
