(Photo by Thomas Reznich) The Roscommon varsity baseball team split with Meridian May 10, handing the Mustangs their first Jack Pine Conference loss of the season. The Bucks managed to keep their composure after only tallying a single hit in the 10-0 loss in game one, rallying back in the nightcap to score 12 runs on just 11 hits.

Meridian 10, Roscommon 0

Stash Dombrowski had the Bucks only hit of the night in game one. Meridian scored four runs in the second inning, four more in the fifth and finished with two in the sixth to mercy Roscommon.

Roscommon 12, Meridian 3

Roscommon managed to get outs when it mattered in game two, defeating Meridian by eight runs despite Meridian only tallying two fewer hits than the Bucks.

The Bucks broke the game open in the second inning, scoring six runs to take a 6-2 lead after two. The Bucks would only allow Meridian one more run for the rest of the game.

Leading the way offensively was Andrew Lacey, 3-3 with a double and three RBI. Lacey also picked up the pitching victory. Dombrowski added two hits and four RBI for the Bucks.
