Bielski, 23, Beulah, pleaded guilty to second degree home invasion and safe breaking and will be sentenced later. Michael A.M. Meir, 17, St. Helen, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance and will be sentenced later.

Four seek commission seat for District three
      Three men will join Robert Schneider in seeking to replace Dist. 3 Commissioner Jim Smolarz, who died April 29, in the November election. The candidates met the May 29 filing deadline with the Roscommon County clerk. Schneider, a democrat, will face challengers James Valleau and Jerry Ritter in the August 7 primary.

State, County investigating larcenies from autos
      State Police from Post 75, Houghton Lake are investigating a string of larcenies from unlocked vehicles that occurred along a four-block stretch of Lake Street in Roscommon Village between 11 p.m. May 23 and 8 a.m. May 24. Of the 11 crimes reported May 24, the State Police are handling seven and the Roscommon County Sheriff Department is handling four.

Felon enters pleas for B&E, weapons
      A North Branch man has entered pleas in 83rd District Court on charges of home invasion and felon in possession of a firearm. Levi J. Fritch, 21, pleaded guilty to one count of second degree home invasion, one count of felon in possession of a firearm and one count of receiving and concealing a motor vehicle.

German man injured in motorcycle accident
      A German man riding a motorcycle was injured Sunday when a car pulled in front of him on Muskegon Road. According to a Roscommon County Sheriff's report, Michael Gartner, 33, Hirschhorn, Hessen, Germany, was traveling southbound on a 1984 Yamaha Enduro, about one mile north of M-55, when a Dodge Durango driven by Kari Freeman Pagano, 31, Kalamazoo, turned in front of him.
