We launched the new site May 10 and it will continue to be free until the June 7 edition is posted. At that time, a subscription will be required to view the entire content of the site. Obituaries, classifieds and advertisements will remain free. Additionally, archives four weeks old and older will be free of charge. Leaders 'ecstatic' over theme park

A concept approval by the Grayling Township Planning Commission Tuesday night could be an economic boom for the Crawford and Roscommon County areas. The board's unanimous approval means they will recommend that the Michigan Department of Natural Resources sell 1,800 acres to Main Street America to develop a theme park east of I- 75 on Four Mile Road in Crawford County. More than 6,000 Consumers Energy customers were without power Sunday afternoon for about four hours.
