Revelers party at close quarters on Houghton Lake during this year's Bud Bash on Aug. 4. Great weather and a zero tolerance policy in responding to alcohol related violations by law enforcement helped lower the number of arrests made by police in previous years. Det. Sgt. Tim Lenhard of the Houghton Lake State Police Post said, "Bud Bash went pretty smoothly. Enforcement efforts helped keep the party under control."
