Roscommon County educators (left to right) Cheri Hutek of the Gerrish-Higgins School District and Jill Trahan of the Houghton Lake Community Schools took part in the American Wilderness Leadership School at the Granite Creek Ranch in Jackson Hole, WY this summer. Hutek and Trahan were part of 400 teachers from around the country selected to take part in the week-long workshop on wildlife and ecosystem management practices founded by the Safari Club International Foundation. They were sponsored by the Mid-Michigan Chapter of Safari Club International, which is based in Mt. Pleasant.
