Loud exhaust leads to morphine arrest
State Police at Houghton Lake reported the arrest of a 20-year-old Roscommon man for possession of morphine Dec. 20. According to a police report, the arrest was made after a traffic stop initiated because of a loud vehicle exhaust.
Troopers said they searched the vehicle after spotting a syringe stuck in the rubber boot of the vehicle's shifter.The man was also cited for driving with a suspended license and transporting open intoxicants. He was lodged in the Roscommon County Jail.
