Valerie J. Kepler

Valerie J. Kepler, 78, Prudenville, died Jan. 8, 2008.

A memorial service will be held in the spring at Denton Township Cemetery, Prudenville, where burial will take place. Memorial donations may be made to Amicare Hospice. On-line condolences may be left at www.christler-holdship.com.

Mrs. Kepler was born in Midland Aug. 23, 1929, to John and Mary (Gray) Bowden. Before moving to Prudenville 12 years ago, she lived in Ann Arbor. She and Robert Kepler were married Aug. 23, 1948, in Lansing. She was retired from the University of Michigan, where she worked as a secretary.

Mrs. Kepler was a 1947 graduate of the Old Stone School. She was a member of the Houghton Lake Eagles Auxiliary.

Surviving besides her husband, Robert Kepler of Prudenville are her daughter, Connie Clark of Prudenville; three grandchildren, Ronald, Derek, and Shannon Caddell; three great-grandchildren; and life-long friend, Janice Williams.
