83RD DISTRICT COURT

Judge Daniel Sutton

Judge Daniel L. Sutton recently arraigned the following in 83rd District Court:

Neil V. Sabbag, 18, Clarkston, waived preliminary examination and was bound over to Circuit Court, where he pleaded guilty to a charge of delivery/manufacture of marijuana. The sheriff's department made the Jan. 21 arrest. Bond was set at $5,000. Sabbag will be sentenced in Circuit Court.

Kim L. Victor, 53, Madison, OH, was bound over to Circuit Court after a preliminary examination was held on a charge of parental kidnapping. Denton Township Police made the arrest. The date of offense was Sept. 6, 2007. Bond was set at $25,000.

George L. Major, 37, Roscommon, waived preliminary examination on a charge of driving while under the influence of liquor, third offense, and was bound over to Circuit Court. State Police, Houghton Lake, made the Jan. 13 arrest. Bond was set at $5,000.

Gary F. Barnum, 43, Houghton Lake, waived preliminary examination and was bound over on a charge of driving while under the influence of liquor, third offense. The sheriff's department made the Jan. 20 arrest. Bond was set at $5,000.

Matthew J. Willy, 26, Prudenville, demanded preliminary examination within 14 days on charges of resisting and obstructing police, driving while intoxicated, second offense, and child endangerment. State Police, Houghton Lake, made the Feb. 19 arrest. Bond was set at $10,000.

Alen R. Yeager, 34, Carleton, demanded preliminary examination within 14 days on a charge of fourth degree fleeing and eluding. State Police, Houghton Lake, made the Feb. 23 arrest. Bond was set at $10,000.

The following pleaded guilty to charges filed against them and were sentenced:

David M. Sage, 40, Gaylord, driving while intoxicated: $900 in fines, costs or restitution, and the conviction was reported to the Secretary of State.

Karie L. McDonald, 22, Prudenville, possession of marijuana and assault and battery: $395, four months probation, and 30 days license suspension.

Kimberly A. Harder, 46, St. Helen, reckless use of a firearm: $810, and six months probation.

William E. Perry, 47, Houghton Lake, failure to comply with sex offender registry act: 30 days in jail with credit for 30 days.

Brian E. Bennett, 30, Prudenville, failure to comply with sex offender registry act: $495.

Jerry D. Whaley, 39, Roscommon, fourth degree child abuse: $670, and 12 months probation.

Corey R. Hacker, 36, Houghton Lake, cruelty to animals: 30 days in jail with credit for 30 days.

Brian E. Christensen, 38, St. Helen, possession of marijuana: 30 days in jail, $920, 12 months probation, and 30 days license suspension. The defendant must pay $305 or serve 30 days in jail.

Gordon M. Stuck, 20, Prudenville, possession of marijuana: $595, and 60 days license suspension.
