83RD DISTRICT COURT

Judge Daniel Sutton

Judge Daniel L. Sutton recently arraigned the following in 83rd District Court:

Mary Ann Anoshka, 46, St. Helen, demanded preliminary examination within 14 days on a charge of maintaining a drug house. Strike Team Investigative Narcotics Group officers made the arrest. The date of offense was May 19. Bond was set at $2,500.

James R. Morgan, 50, St. Helen, demanded preliminary examination within 14 days on two counts of delivery/manufacture of marijuana and one count of maintaining a drug house, second offense. STING made the May 19 arrest. Bond was set at $20,000.

Daniel A. Foster, 24, Houghton Lake, demanded preliminary examination within 14 days on two counts of resisting and obstructing police. The Roscommon County Sheriff's Department made the June 18 arrest. Bond was set at $5,000.

Lawrence D. Foster, 47, Houghton Lake, demanded preliminary examination within 14 days on a charge of resisting and obstructing police. The sheriff's department made the June 18 arrest. Bond was set at $500.

David M. Sproul, 22, Houghton Lake, demanded preliminary examination within 14 days on a charge of larceny between $1,000 and $20,000. Gerrish Township Police made the May 29 arrest. Bond was set at $5,000.

Jeremy Shepard, 22, state prison, demanded preliminary examination within 14 days on charges of filing a false report of a felony and obstruction of justice. State Police, Houghton Lake, made the May 28 arrest. Bond was set at $25,000.

The following pleaded guilty to charges filed against them and they were sentenced:

Amy M. Horski, 26, Prudenville, driving while intoxicated: Five days in jail with credit for one day, $1,120 in fines, costs or restitution, 12 months probation, and the conviction was reported to the Secretary of State.

Terry K. Hilliard, 37, Houghton Lake, driving with a suspended license, second offense: $450, and the conviction was reported to the Secretary of State.

Valdie J. Reynolds, 45, Traverse City, driving with a suspended license, first offense: $300, and the conviction was reported to the Secretary of State.

Brian E. Bennett, 30, Prudenville, use of marijuana: $300, and 30 days license suspension.

Sherri L. Hirzel, 36, Alpena, use of marijuana: $400, and 30 days license suspension.

Jason M. Lozon, 29, Grayling, possession of marijuana: $615, and 30 days license suspension.

James L. Wilson, 34, Prudenville, contributing to the delinquency of a minor: $300.

Samantha R. Socey, 18, Houghton Lake, third degree retail fraud: 20 days in jail, $505, and six months probation. The defendant must pay $200 in fines and costs or serve 20 days in jail.
