FRED'S IS BACK
      Ed Roginski (right) and Clint Bair reopened Fred's Bowling in Roscommon July 4 and plan to reopen Fred's Dining & Cocktails in September. The Detroit area residents said they were attracted to Fred's because of its reputation. "It was a landmark and we hope to get it back to that landmark," Bair said.

NEW LIQUOR STORE
      Nate Alyas is pictured at the South State Park Liquor Shoppe, which opened July 1 at 5 East Higgins Lake Dr., Gerrish Township. The store, on the site of the former Handee Mart, which was destroyed by fire in 2002, offers liquor, beer, wine, produce, deli items, hot pizza and sandwiches, snacks, ice cream and pop.
