Roscommon County Fair offers three days of fun
From a beauty pageant to a horse show to a mud bog, the Roscommon County Fair is offering something for everyone. The fair starts Friday and runs through the weekend. The annual event takes place at the Roscommon County Fire Training Grounds, 290 Ballenger Rd. Festivities begin Friday at noon with a flag-raising. State Rep. The 19th century will return to Houghton Lake this weekend as the Houghton Lake Area Historical Society presents its 36th annual Historical Village Days Aug. 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Judge Daniel Sutton
Judge Daniel L. Sutton recently arraigned the following in 83rd District Court, Roscommon: Steven R. Eddy, 33, Prudenville, waived preliminary examination and was bound over to Circuit Court where he pleaded guilty to driving while intoxicated, third offense. The Roscommon County Sheriff's Department made the June 28 arrest. Bond was set at $5,000. More...

Mercy Hospital, Grayling.
A service was held at Walsh Funeral Home, Roscommon, Aug. 5, with Pastor
Lawrence Cook officiating. Burial was in Roscommon Village Cemetery.

Mrs. Miller was born in Gladwin Feb. 6, 1947. Her parents were Horace Edwin
and Katherine J. (Curtis) Rodden. She lived her entire life in Roscommon and
