Rick Olivares of 323 Whitetail Drive in Prudenville was surprised by how tall his tomato plants have grown this year, with the tallest up to 83 inches as of Friday. Olivares said he bought the plants when they were approximately seven inches tall from Bart's Fruit Market this spring. He said four of the plants are Early Girl variety and two are cherry tomatoes.
