Trautz earns Eagle Scout rank

The grandson of a Higgins Lake couple has earned the highest rank of the Boy Scouts of America. Bryson Alexander Trautz, 15, grandson of Ed and Stella Trautz of Higgins Lake, earned his Eagle Scout rank at the National Eagle Court of Honor at Ygnacio Valley Presbyterian Church, Concord, CA.

Trautz is the son of Robert and Cherie Trautz of Pleasant Hills, CA.

He is a member of Troop 221 under the leadership of Scoutmaster Rob Trautz.

For his Eagle project he planned, organized and created a street side landscape for the Ignacio Valley Presbyterian Church, where the family has worshiped since 2000. Prior to moving to California the family lived in Cadillac.

Bryson is beginning his sophomore year at College Park High School in Concord, CA. His older brother, Andrew, and his father are also Eagle Scouts.
