The Markey Township Planning Commission will hold a public hearing Oct. 7 at 7:30 p.m. at the township hall to hear a request for rezoning.

Cliff's Sand & Gravel, Inc., has applied for conditional rezoning, from R-3 to A-1, to allow for the ability to apply for a special land use permit. A mining and reclamation plan has also been filed as part of the site plan review.

The request is to rezone 160 acres in Section 10, south of School Road and east of Cut Road.
