Skeels celebrates Grandparents Day, Spirit Week

"Grandparents and Special Persons Day" was Oct. 3 at Skeels Christian School. Students opened the doors to visitors who were treated to classroom activities, crafts, snacks and a brunch served by the students. In the high school, visitors were able to attend Spanish, biology, trigonometry and online typing classes.

Last week was spirit week at Skeels. Every day focused on an aspect of students' Christian lives. The students enjoyed special dress-up days, games at lunchtime and many other activities showcasing the theme of the day. On Wednesday, for example, the theme was

encouragement." All students dressed in red, white and blue and wrote encouraging notes to service men and women overseas.
