Staley urges voters to support Randy Stevenson for sheriff

Having served with the Roscommon County Sheriff's Office for 36 years, working for three different sheriff's, and being your sheriff for the last 8 1/2 years, I believe that I know what it takes to be an effective sheriff.

The position of sheriff requires the highest level of integrity, honesty, character, respect for the law and a dedication to serve the people. I have worked with Randy Stevenson for many years and selected him to be my undersheriff because he possesses all of these attributes. Randy Stevenson is the only candidate for sheriff that has law enforcement experience. Not only does Randy have that experience, he has also served the people of Roscommon County and the Roscommon County Sheriff's Office for 29 years and nine months, while serving as a deputy, sergeant, lieutenant, jail administrator and undersheriff. Randy is the only candidate for Sheriff who possesses the knowledge, experience, training and professionalism to effectively lead the Roscommon County Sheriff's Office, while remaining a servant of the people. Randy's proven record of dedication to the people of Roscommon County is evident, not only in his service to the Roscommon County Sheriff's Office, but also in his personal life and community involvement. Therefore, I am urging all voters in Roscommon County to cast their vote for Randy Stevenson to be our next Sheriff.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank the people of Roscommon County for having allowed me the privilege of being your Sheriff for the last 8 1/2 years. s/Francis Staley Sheriff, Roscommon County
