Terry John Dawson

Terry John Dawson, 61, Roscommon, died Dec. 6, 2008, at Munson Medical Center, Traverse City.
A service will be held Tuesday, Dec. 9, at 1 p.m. at the Grayling Moose Lodge. Burial was in Roscommon Village Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the family. Walsh Funeral Home, Roscommon, handled arrangements.
Mr. Dawson was born Sept. 9, 1947, in Detroit, the son of John and Merle F. (Shinn) Dawson.
He lived most of his life in Roscommon, except for 1981-82, when he lived in Clio. He and the former Frances A. Allen were married Oct. 1, 2007, in Las Vegas.
He worked as a meatcutter at Save-A-Lot in Grayling for three years, and at Carter’s in St. Helen for 25 years. He also worked at VG’s in Clio, Ames and A&P in Roscommon. He was a member of the Grayling Moose Lodge #1162 and was a former member of the Roscommon Jaycees.
Preceding him in death was his mother, Merle Dawson.
Surviving are his wife, Fran of Roscommon; daughter, Terra Dawson of Higgins Lake; grandson, Josh Hart of Higgins Lake; sister, Margaret and her husband Bryce Ellison of Clarksville, TN; two nephews, Brian and David Ellison; and many friends.
