BETHLEHEM VILLAGE

Ryan Madis (sitting in chair), youth ministry intern, teaches visitors to "Bethlehem Village" about a game played in the time of Christ with a four-sided spinning top called a dreidel. The Markey Community Baptist Church transformed its gymnasium into "Bethelehem" Dec. 14. Pictured between Madis and the other adult, Chris Miller, are Dalyanna Miller and Ashley Miller. At left is Parametris Holder, and spinning the dreidel is Gabby Csapo. Also part of the village were shops where visitors could make harps, candles, woven cloth, jewelry and their own dreidel. Nativity scenes were both in the gym and outside. The outdoor scene featured live sheep and donkeys.
