Jean Ann Wahl

Jean Ann Wahl, 80, died Aug. 14, 2008, at her home in St. Helen.

The Rev. William Woldt officiated a service Aug. 18 at 11 a.m. at Messiah Lutheran Church, Roscommon. Burial was in Richardson Cemetery, Roscommon. Walsh Funeral Home, Roscommon, handled arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to the Messiah Church Building Fund, 1470 W. Maplehurst Rd. Roscommon, MI 48653.

Mrs. Wahl was born in Saginaw June 12, 1928, to Richard and Elizabeth (Hoern) Schulz. She moved from Saginaw to St. Helen in 1969. She and Robert E. Wahl were united in marriage June 24, 1950, in Saginaw.

Mrs. Wahl retired from a 21- year teaching career. She attended Messiah Lutheran Church, Roscommon.

A 1946 graduate of Arthur Hill High School, she attended Central Michigan College and graduated from there in 1950. She was a life member of Alpha Sigma Tau Sorority. She was a loving wife and mother who enjoyed gardening, cooking, birding and great lakes ship watching.

Her parents preceded her in death.

Surviving are her husband, Joe; and two sons, Bob Wahl of Roscommon and Doug Wahl of Detroit.
