John Lewis Rose John Lewis Rose, 72, Kissimmee, FL, died Sept. 1, 2008, at Osceola Regional Hospital, FL, following surgery for a broken hip. Conrad & Thompson Funeral Home, Kissimmee, handled arrangements. Cremation has taken place. Ashes will be brought to Houghton Lake for a memorial to be held in the spring. Mr. Rose was born in Wyandotte May 9, 1936, the son of John L. Rose Sr. and Myrtle E. (Nedeau) Rose-Thibault. He married Arlene Janet Butson Sept. 3, 1964, in Monroe. A truck driver, he was retired from Ortho Brothers Trucking. He was a practicing Catholic and a member of the Houghton Lake Eagles and Harrison Moose. Preceding him in death were his parents; step-father, Albert Thibault; and sister, LeAnn Smith.
Surviving are his children Dawn Marie Granato of Kissimmee, FL, Jacqueline Lynn Jammer of Panama City, FL, John Lewis Rose III of Kissimmee, FL, and Cindy Lou Bekkach of Kissimmee, FL; siblings, Thomas Rose of Newport and Norma Jean LaPrad of Ohio; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
