Robert T. Rideout

Robert T. Rideout, 86, Roscommon, died Sept. 16, 2008, at the Masonic Pathway in Alma.

A Masonic service was held at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home, St. Helen, Sept. 19. The funeral was held Sept. 20 at at Messiah Lutheran Church, Roscommon. Pastor Andrew Gookin officiated, and burial followed at Gerrish Township Cemetery, Roscommon.

Mr. Rideout had lived in Roscommon for most of his life and was a member and Past Master of the Roscommon Masonic Lodge 364, F & AM. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II in Japan and was a manager for Michigan Bell Telephone for 40 years. He was an avid gardener and he loved pets.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine; daughter, Sheila Ann; and granddaughter, Kari Dei.

Surviving is his granddaughter, Laura Dei of Brighton.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association.
