Marlene 'Mo' Balow

Marlene "Mo" Balow, 70, Prudenville, died Sept. 24, 2008, with her husband by her side.

Private family services will be conducted. Christler Funeral Home, Prudenville Chapel, handled arrangements.

Mrs. Balow was born June 18, 1938, in Detroit. Her parents were Edward F. and Regina M. (O'Keneski) Fras.

She worked for Ron's Restaurant for many years, and worked for Kronner's Pharmacy as well. She married Elmer W. Balow Oct. 16, 1978, in Belleville. She and her husband had lived in the Prudenville area since 1990, before moving to California in 1997 for two years before moving back to Prudenville.

Surviving are her husband, Elmer Balow of Prudenville; daughter, Vicki and her husband Rich Spalding of Willis; three grandchildren, Jacquelyn, Dana and Tyler; and brother, Ski and his wife Pauline Fras of Canton.
