' Amazing Race' casting call coming to West Branch

The reality show, "The Amazing Race," is looking for teams of two who think they will be next to cross the finish line.

WWTV-WWUP/TV 9&10 News and Tanger Outlet Center have teamed up to help get a Michigan team to the starting line. An open casting call will be held March 16 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Tanger Outlet Center, West Branch.

The casting call is open to any two-person team who wants to travel and race around the world. Applicants must be U.S. residents who are least 21 years old.

Each member of the team must log onto www.9and10news.com to download and fill out an application. Applicants will then stop by the casting call at the Tanger Outlet Center in West Branch, off of I-75 at Exit 212, March 16 for an opportunity to tell the camera why their team deserves a chance.

Team members who have completed the casting call will receive a free shopping bag and coupon book from Tanger.

"The Amazing Race is an awesome opportunity for people to see the world," Tessia Klix, 9&10 News Marketing and Promotions director, said. "We would love to see someone from Michigan on the show and can't wait to see who comes to try out."
