Markey church plans Easter week services
      The public may attend special services at the Markey Community Baptist Church commemorating Holy Week. They will include a candle lighting communion service at 7 p.m. on Maundy Thursday, April 9, a Good Friday service at 1 p.m. April 10 and Easter Sunday morning worship services at 8:30 and 11 a.m.

Daughter born to Lewis, Wagner
      Paul Lewis and Jen Wagner, Prudenville, announce the birth of their daughter, Addysen Jane Lewis. The baby was born March 12, 2009, at West Branch Regional Medical Center. She weighed 7 pounds, 15.8 ounces and was 20 inches long at birth.

830 pounds of goods collected
     A Curves' Food Drive recently donated 830 pounds of non-perishable goods for Project H.O.P.E.
