Colmus Family' to appear at HLUMC

The Colmus Family The Colmus Family The Houghton Lake United Methodist Church will host "The Colmus Family" in both morning services of worship, at 9 and 11 a.m. on May 17. The community is invited to attend.

Nashville recording artists, "The Colmus Family," began as "The Colmus Sisters and Gospel Country" in 1983.

They have toured throughout the United States and Canada with their unique brand of Christian County music, rich family harmony and uplifting songs. In 1995, the group changed their name to "The Colmus Family."

The family band from Kentucky tours and spreads the message of Jesus Christ through song and testimony. They play old time gospel favorites, original songs and positive country songs. Their CD entitled "Washed Clean" is receiving air time on Christian radio stations in the U.S. and internationally. They have recorded old time gospel and favorites done in their own country music style, plus original songs.

The group has opened for Bobby Bare, Stella Parton, Tommy Cash, Jim Glaser, Perfect Stranger and Michael Twitty.
