Calvarymen Quartet to perform at Markey

      Toppens name son Eli Michael Michael and Arica (Drogt) Toppen of Coopersville announce the birth of their son, Eli Michael. Born June 28, 2009, at Spectrum Health, Butterworth Campus, Grand Rapids, the boy weighed 8 pounds, 1 ounce and was 21 inches long at birth.

Orlando graduates air force basic
     Airman Damon F. Orlando U.S. Air Force Airman Damon F. Orlando recently graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, TX. The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, air force core values, physical fitness and basic warfare principles and skills. Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force. He is the son of Mary Orlando of Houghton Lake and a 2004 graduate of Houghton Lake High School.
