YOUNG EAGLES TAKE FLIGHT AT HTL

(Left to right) Airport Manager Eric Jaroch gives Tanner Glueheisen, 7, and his sister Riley, 10, of Roscommon a chance to look over the controls of a light plane as Leanne Stern looks on. The Glueheisens were among 15 youths who were given an introduction to flying by members of Experimental Aircraft Association Chapter 1259 through the Young Eagles program at Roscommon County Blodgett Memorial Airport Thursday. The program included a short talk on how an airplane flies, followed by airplane rides courtesy of EAA members Bob Shingledecker, Bill Spencer, Dave Pflum and George Maroney.
