TEMPORARY OFFICE

Students confer with administrators, counselors and secretaries in the temporary office at Roscommon High School Tuesday, first day of classes for Roscommon Area Public Schools. The life skills classroom is serving as the school office while remodeling of the office suite continues. The work is scheduled for completion in October. The remodeled high school library, which doubles as a public library for the school district, remains closed while books are replaced on shelves. Elsewhere in the building, the cafeteria has a new look, classrooms and lockers have been repainted and classrooms have new flooring. Ceiling tiles, skylights, the building's roof, exterior doors, boilers and windows have been replaced. Restrooms have new tile and water-saving fixtures, sidewalks have been replaced and the upper parking lot. The work was funded by a bond issue approved by district voters last year.
