Houghton Lake United Methodist Church organist Lorna West plays the church’s new Johannus organ prior to the packed Christmas Eve service. “It’s an organist’s dream,” she said. “It has ‘praise God’ written all over it.” West said the organ – delivered earlier in December – had only been played formally at two Sunday services before the Dec. 24 service.
