Former Roscommon resident James Francis Flory, Clean Creek, AZ, died Jan. 25, 2010, while hiking in the Superstition Mountains in Apache Junction, AZ. 

 

A memorial will be held May 22 at Higgins Lake. The family requests that contributions be made to either Homes for our Troops or Fisher House.

 

Mr. Flory was born Dec. 21, 1929, in Saginaw, the son of Lawrence Flory and Anna Wojcik. He lived in Roscommon from 1971 to 1990.

 

Preceding him in death were his parents; sister Maxine Mahoney; and brothers Ken Sieggreen and Emil Sieggreen.

 

Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Maria Flory; children, Candelaria Flory-Barnes of Oceanside CA, Christine and her husband Dan VanHusan of Dowagiac, Anthony Flory of Chesaning, Lawrence and his wife Tia Flory of West Bloomfield, Pierre Flory of Roscommon, and Timothy Flory of Roscommon; brother Dr. Gerald and his wife Alice Sieggreen of Saginaw; grandchildren Charles and his wife Lindsay, and Brian and Amanda VanHusan of Michigan, David Flory of California, and Brittany, Matthew and Kayla Flory of Michigan.
