Gas tax reform needs support in legislature

Let’s face it, Michigan’s roads and bridges are in dangerous conditions. Cracks and enormous potholes cover our highways and put the safety of our families, loved ones and friends at risk. Now is the time for our elected officials to put their differences aside. One of the best ways to do this is to reform our outdated gas tax. A glimmer of hope is under consideration in Michigan’s legislature in the form of a proposal to fix our crumbling roads and bridges. Every second that Michigan legislature does not act on passing a bill that will fix our transportation infrastructure it is putting the safety of our families at risk. This plan will also provide thousands of local jobs for just pennies a gallon. Gas tax reform is supported by both Democrats and Republicans and is a win-win situation. For Michigan the poor quality of roads has reached a critical period that we can no longer ignore. Now is the time for our elected officials to take action. Pass this plan! So please contact your state representatives and senators to pass this bill.
