My mother lives at Hilltop Manor. I’d like to thank the staff, the Red Cross, all the fire and emergency people and all the volunteers of our gracious community. They made the evacuation from Hilltop run smoothly, with as little stress as possible. I was there and watched them all in action. Two evacuations and a temporary relocation are a lot for nursing home patients to handle in one night, but things moved in a well organized fashion and everyone was well cared for. I’ve never lived through that type of natural disaster before, but knowing how well our community came together is a real comfort. Thanks again to all involved.
