Seven Houghton Lake varsity track athletes placed at the Jack Pine Conference league meet May 25 in Meridian.
The girls squad finished in eighth place with 16.5 points while the boys finished seventh with 33 points. Results included:
Girls: 800m run, Tessa Cryderman, 4th, 2:36.90; long jump, Victoria Doebler, 4th, 15’1.75” and high jump, Madison Winkler, 3rd-tie; 4’10”.
Boys: 110m hurdles, Alex Robinson, 6th, 17.31; 1600m run, Rick Press, 5th, 4:58.20; 300m hurdles, Robinson, 4th, 44.44; 3200m run, Press, 7th, 11:10.70; discus, Pat Gagne, 4th, 125’; shot put, Gagne, 3rd, 44’11” and high jump, Tim Malcomson, 2nd, 5’10.1”.
