Michael K. Sidelko, 63, South Lyon formerly of St. Helen for 22 years, died Sept. 10, 2010.

A funeral Mass will be held Sept. 18 at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, South Lyon. His children will be holding a celebration of his life Oct. 9 at 3 p.m. at the Birch Pointe Country Club, St. Helen.

Born July 14, 1947 he was the son of Joseph and Dorothy Sidelko. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and the United States Army 101st Airborne Unit. He enjoyed spending time with his family, boating, golfing and any other outdoor activities. Playing men’s fast-pitch softball was truly his passion and he enjoyed watching his son become involved with the sport.

Preceding him in death were his parents; brothers, Fred and Rob and sister, Charlene.

Surviving are his beloved wife, Carol; children, Wally (Vicki) Sidelko and Kathleen (Rick) Rutledge; grandchild, Cameron Sidelko; step-children, Kevin, Brian and Jennifer Sharkey and Matt and Tracy Sharkey and step-grandchildren, Leo, Laney, Nick, Joe and Jack.
