SUCCESSFUL SOUTH AFRICAN HUNT

Markey Township resident Bob Boyle’s recent trip to the Mafigeni Lodge near Tzaneen, South Africa, proved successful as he downed a trophy size Cape Buffalo and a Kudu. The buffalo weighed approximately 1,800 pounds and had a 41 inch horn spread. Boyle’s Kudu had 48 inch horns. His wife, Norma, also traveled to South Africa and spent her time viewing animals on various reserves and visiting local sights. Pictured with Boyle is (left) Professional Hunter Gerrie Van Zyl.
