Response to son’s accident appreciated

We would like to thank the Denton Township First Responders Fire Department who arrived at 4:45am on Dec. 26 to help our son when he had an encounter with a deer on his way to work. The deer bolted into the path of the car, which caused our son to swerve atop of a snowbank, rocketing the car into a high voltage utility pole. The pole crashed down, landing atop of our car with live wires all around.

After our son called 911, the firemen were at the scene within 10 minutes.

We would also like to thank the Michigan State Police Troopers who were also at the scene immediately to assist us. Lastly, we would like to apologize to the Lake James Neighborhood, as everyone had to awaken to loss of power in the cold weather. Again, thank you to all.

Lee, Christy and Bryan Todd Prudenville
