Marie Louise Wambach
Marie Louise Wambach, 87, Higgins Lake, died Jan. 2, 2011, at King Nursing and Rehabilitation Community, Houghton Lake.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday (Jan. 7) at St. Hubert Catholic Church with Fr. Bernard Tyler officiating. Burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery.
Born Dec. 3, 1923, in Detroit, she was the daughter of Louis P. and Anna Rose (Rabe) Martin. She married Nickolas John Wambach May 18, 1946 in Roseville. She lived at Higgins Lake since 1983, coming from Roseville. She was a homemaker and attended St. Hubert Catholic Church. She loved to sew and make quilts.
Preceding her in death were her parents; three brothers, Leonard, George and Lawrence Martin and four sisters, Phyllis Huppert, Rita Burr, Bernadine Kraemer and Josephine Martin.
Surviving are her husband, Nick; son, Duane Kenneth Wambach of Higgins Lake; two grandchildren, Alexander (Theresa) Wambach of Junction City, KS and Allison (Josh) Chapel of El Paso, TX; 20 nieces and nephews; brother-in-law, Robert (Rosanna) Wambach of Mt. Clemens and three sisters-in-law, Earlene Martin of Detroit; Grace Martin of Oregon and Barbara Martin of Florida.
Walsh Funeral Home, Roscommon, handled the arrangements.
