MASTER ANGLER BLUEGILL
Mike Tanner of Houghton Lake caught this bluegill Dec. 22 on the south shore of Houghton Lake, sitting on a bucket over about a foot of ice. The 10 1/2-incher was good enough to qualify for Master Angler status, according to Lyman’s on the Lake. Tanner used a wax worm for bait. He said he caught a nice group of fish, all in the 9-inch range. (CHP)
