SERIOUS POEM
Houghton Lake Community Education student Amber Dowland reads a poem she wrote during the Kirtland Ms. Open- Mic and Poetry Slam for Poverty April 16 at the Grayling Country Club. Dowland’s poem, which talked about the seriousness of poverty, was part of the high school division and she received a 23 from the judges.
