83rd District Court

Judge Daniel L. Sutton recently arraigned the following in 83rd District Court:

Jeremy A. Pritchard, 30, Standish, waived preliminary examination and was bound over to Circuit Court where he pleaded guilty to two counts of possession of marijuana, second offense. The Roscommon County Sheriff’s Department made the arrest. The dates of offense were Jan. 26 and April 21. Bond was set at $8,000. Pritchard will be sentenced in Circuit Court.

Seann R. Springstead, 29, Traverse City, waived preliminary examination and was bound over to Circuit Court on a charge of driving while intoxicated, third offense. The sheriff’s department made the arrest. The date of offense was March 27. Bond was set at $300.

Tiffany L. Douglass, 24, Lewiston, demanded preliminary examination within 14 days on three counts of illegal use of a financial transaction device. The sheriff’s department made the arrest. The date of offense was Nov. 26, 2010. Bond was set at $5,000.

Mark A. Schluentz, 26, Armada, demanded preliminary examination within 14 days on a charge of malicious destruction of utility property. Denton Township Police made the arrest. The date of offense was March 27. Bond was set at $5,000.

Brian C. Schluentz II, 32, Almont, demanded preliminary examination within 14 days on a charge of malicious destruction of utility property. Denton Township Police made the arrest. The date of offense was March 27. Bond was set at $5,000.

Scott D. Braley, 45, Saginaw, demanded preliminary examination within 14 days on a charge of larceny in a building. The sheriff’s department made the arrest. The date of offense was May 15, 2010. Bond was set at $20,000.

Scott A. Leonard, 42, Roscommon, demanded preliminary examination within 14 days on charges of fraud – obtaining a signature to a financial document and false pretenses between $1,000 and $20,000. State Police, Houghton Lake, made the arrest. The date of offense was Sept. 8, 2009. Bond was set at $25,000.

Austin S. Valentine, 22, Gaines, demanded preliminary examination within 14 days on a charge of possession of marijuana, second offense. The sheriff’s department made the arrest. The date of offense was Sept. 28, 2010. Bond was set at $500.

The following pleaded guilty to charges filed against them and were sentenced:

Elizabeth D. Fortino, 51, Roscommon, impaired driving: $935 in fines, costs or restitution and the conviction was reported to the Secretary of State.

Gary Gregg, 57, Roscommon, impaired driving: $995 in fines, costs or restitution, six months probation and the conviction was reported to the Secretary of State.

Cynthia C. Williams, 49, St. Helen, impaired driving: $935 in fines, costs or restitution and the conviction was reported to the Secretary of State.

Scott A. Denison, 20, Gibraltar, possession of marijuana: $740 in fines, costs or restitution and 60 days license suspension.

Brent C. Gunnell II, 26, Cedar Springs, possession of marijuana: $740 in fines, costs or restitution and 60 days license suspension.

Glenn M. Luehmann, 67, Houghton Lake, writing a non-sufficient funds check: $490.32 in fines, costs or restitution.

Justin A. Hush, 30, West Branch, driving with a suspended license, first offense: $235 in fines, costs or restitution and the conviction was reported to the Secretary of State.

Kelsey J. Barber, 23, Houghton Lake, third degree retail fraud: $445 in fines, costs or restitution and six months probation.
