Roscommon graduation set for May 26
Pomp and circumstance will be playing as over 80 Roscommon High School seniors make their way to receiving their high school diploma on May 26.
“They are a group of individuals, they are a group of unique people,” RHS Principal Kathy Erickson said. “They excel in different areas. They are locked into what they are passionate about.”
Erickson said the graduation held for this “unique class” will last approximately one hour and will be held at 7 p.m. in the high school gym.
During the graduation, Erickson said there will be speeches given by valedictorian Elizabeth Matuzak, salutatorian Ian May and Superintendent Dr. Millie Melgren. She added there will also be performances by the choir and band.
After the ceremony, there will be an all-night party provided by a group of parents called Project Graduation. Erickson said the party’s location is “undisclosed” and the specifics have yet to be released as the party details are to be a surprise for the graduating class.
The Resorter will print its salute to RHS graduates on June 2.
