83rd District Court

Judge Daniel L. Sutton recently arraigned the following in 83rd District Court:

Neil D. Emery, 34, Roscommon, waived preliminary examination and was bound over to Circuit Court where he pleaded guilty to two counts of delivery/ manufacture of less than 50 grams of a controlled substance, first offense (two were dismissed), and one count of possession of less than 25 grams of a controlled substance, first offense (one was dismissed). Strike Team Investigative Narcotics Group officers made the arrest. The date of offense was Feb. 14. Bond was set at $300,000. Emery will be sentenced in Circuit Court.

Brock J. Lewis, 23, Prudenville, waived preliminary examination and was bound over to Circuit Court where he pleaded guilty to larceny in a building. Denton Township Police made the arrest. The date of offense was April 7-8. Bond was set at $5,000. Lewis will be sentenced in Circuit Court.

Devin E. Ritchie, 18, Houghton Lake, waived preliminary examination and was bound over to Circuit Court where he pleaded guilty to larceny in a building. State Police, Houghton Lake, made the arrest. The date of offense was Nov. 26, 2010, through, Jan. 3. Bond was set at $5,000. Ritchie will be sentenced in Circuit Court.

Marc A. Schluentz, 26, Armada, waived preliminary examination and was bound over to Circuit Court where he pleaded guilty to malicious destruction of utility property. Denton Township Police made the arrest. The date of offense was March 21. Bond was set at $500. Schluentz will be sentenced in Circuit Court.

Holly M. Payne, 34, Prudenville, was bound over to Circuit Court after a preliminary examination was held on a charge of larceny in a building. Denton Township Police made the arrest. The date of offense was April 3. Bond was set at $5,000.

Joel C. Payne, 37, Prudenville, was bound over to Circuit Court after a preliminary examination was held on a charge of larceny in a building. Denton Township Police made the arrest. The date of offense was April 3. Bond was set at $25,000. He also demanded preliminary examination within 14 days on a charge of creation/delivery of a counterfeit controlled substance. STING officers made the arrest. The date of offense was March 21. Bond was set at $25,000

William B. Bennett, 46, Birch Run, waived preliminary examination and was bound over to Circuit Court on a charge of driving while intoxicated, third offense. Richfield Township Police made the arrest. The date of offense was May 21. Bond was set at $5,000.

Jimmy L. Gruber, 49, St. Helen, waived preliminary examination and was bound over to Circuit Court on a charge of driving while intoxicated, third offense. Richfield Township Police made the arrest. The date of offense was April 26. Bond was set at $10,000.

Michael J. Guay Jr., 46, waived preliminary examination and was bound over to Circuit Court on a charge of driving while intoxicated, third offense. State Police, Houghton Lake, made the arrest. The date of offense was Feb. 28. Bond was set at $50,000.

Jason D. Shepard, 26, Houghton Lake, waived preliminary examination and was bound over to Circuit Court on a charge of delivery/manufacture of marijuana. STING officers made the arrest. The date of offense was April 6. Bond was set at $100,000.

Ben J. Bigler, 48, Houghton Lake, demanded preliminary examination within 14 days on a charge of domestic violence, third offense. State Police, Houghton Lake, made the arrest. The date of offense was June 5. Bond was set at $5,000.

Rebecca K. Machtel, 46, East Lansing, demanded preliminary examination within 14 days on a charge of malicious destruction of property between $1,000 and $20,000. Gerrish Township Police made the arrest. The date of offense was April 17. Bond was set at $10,000.

Corey H. Livingston, 47, Prudenville, demanded preliminary examination within 14 days on a charge of driving while intoxicated, third offense. Denton Township Police made the arrest. The date of offense was May 19. Bond was set at $25,000.

Charles Olivares, 32, Prudenville, demanded preliminary examination within 14 days on two counts of carrying a concealed weapon. The Roscommon County Sheriff’s Department made the arrest. The date offense was May 28. Bond was set at $50,000.

Daniel J. Prough, 46, St. Helen, demanded preliminary examination within 14 days on a charge of aggravated stalking. Richfield Township Police made the arrest. The date of offense was Feb. 17. Bond was set at $50,000.

Terry L. Rappuhn Jr., 20, Houghton Lake, demanded preliminary examination within 14 days on a charge of third degree home invasion. State Police, Houghton Lake, made the arrest. The date of offense was June 5. Bond was set at $100,000.
