Visitors stroll through the collection of classic and custom vehicles that showed up for the fourth annual Customer Appreciation Car Show and pig roast at Jimmy’s Collision Repair Center at Houghton Lake Saturday afternoon. Kathy Kennedy of Jimmy’s said 43 cars were entered in the car show, with 258 votes cast in the “public’s choice” prize contest. First Place and $100 went to Ray Kahl of Prudenville with a 1966 Impala, in Second Place, winning $50, was Tom Brewer of Houghton Lake with a 1950 Chevy and Third Place and $25 went to Ed Oswald with a 1957 Chevy Bel Air. PULLING THE PORK
Car show goers at the Customer Appreciation Car Show at Jimmy’s Collision Repair Center at Houghton Lake enjoy a pulled pork lunch under a big blue spruce tree Saturday. Hosts Jimmy Smith and Cathy Kennedy said this year’s fourth edition of the annual get-together for customers, auto enthusiasts and the general public was the biggest ever. Door prizes, provided by Auto Value and NAPA Auto Parts, went to Dale Kortman of Houghton Lake with a 1987 Lincoln Hearse and Kathy and Jody Kerr of Higgins Lake with a 1967 Rally Sport Camaro.
